DALLIN- One AWESOME Son

**make sure your speakers are ON**
When we found out a baby boy was on the way we felt such an overjoyed excitment. He was born five years after Danielle and we knew our family was completed with a brother to fill our lives with happiness. We knew the Lord had richly blessed us. Just like this song in the background says: "With Arms Wide Open" this is how we felt when Dallin was born! Dallin had the unique opportunity to have his baby blessing by Kevin in the St. George temple, the same day our family became an eternal family. It was a joyous occasion with many family members and friends by our sides.

It's hard to describe Dallin in simple terms: awesome, grand, cool, amazing; these just don't seem to describe what kind of boy he is and what he adds to our lives. He is filled with so much humor and wit. He's always got a smile on his face and is always trying to get us to laugh.
From day one he has been a very sensetive child of other people's feelings. One day in kindergarten he came to me with a picture he had drawn of an apple tree. He handed it to me proudly and said, "Mom, I made this a green apple tree because you love green apples." He is a boy who tugs at my heart strings.
This picture above: At Sea World, he got all wet on that 'wet wet' ride, and it was miserable to walk around in soaking wet jeans . We bought him a pair of 'polar bear' shorts and he just couldn't help making fun of himself. He is such a funny guy!!

This is our YW dinner fundraiser. They asked the Teachers quorum to do a skit. McKay and Dallin hammed it up. It was great! He is active in his Teachers quorum and scouting. He began early morning seminary this year. Mornings are hard, but he's a trooper and gets going bright and early.
He found that he loved playing hockey while we lived in San Diego. He has excelled in it and he's the star player for his high school team. We LOVE attending all the games because we know he'll be putting his all into the game. He comes home beat, tired, but never angry or defeated, even if his team lost. He's a very good sport about things, even though he is very competitive.

Dallin feels like an only child at home now with Danni gone to college. We have fun watching the many Ducks hockey games we enjoy as a family. Dallin enjoys suceeding in school and hockey and is truly a joy to have around and such a wonderful boy. We love you Dallin. I love being your mom!
