The Gerig's
We wrote this blog two months ago for our DEAR friends. I felt inspired to do so, so that our dear friends would know how much we loved them. We never dreamed that we would say Goodbye to Robert Gerig so soon. Robert passed away at home on April 30th from sudden heart failure. We will miss him and we truly love the Gerig family! The gospel holds us through the tough times.
ROBERT: we love you and know we will see you soon!
Love, Kevin and Cindy
We met Robert and Karen Gerig as newlyweds in 1984. They lived in our apartment complex in South Salt Lake. They were newlyweds just like us and we became fast friends. They moved to Southern California a few years later and we soon followed, unintentially. But we feel so blessed to have them close by. We've been able to spend a lot of time together the past years at birthdays, homecomings, conference weekends and also vacations, (as families and as couples). And we look forward to spending much more time with our 'cruisin' buds!
This is the 'infamous' dune buggy ride where we nearly crashed!! We tease Robert merclessly

about his driving skills.
The pic below is Karen and me in Hondurous with the dancers.
As the pic below shows; Kevin and Robert are two peas in a pod. They should have been born twins, they are so much alike it is flat out scary. They even nap at the same time and in the same position too.
We love the Gerig family and look forward to many more years of fun and sun!
Thanks for being such great friends of ours!
