Cruisin' with the Best of 'em

We were so fortunate to get David and Lori (my bro and sis in law) and my step-mom Nancy and Joe to go on a five day cruise to Cabo San Lucas the first of August!

AWESOME is the only word to describe our trip!!!

We arrived all ready to be waited on hand and foot for five full days and to get cherry coke's unlimited until we were SICK OF THEM (if that's possible!)Wild BUNCH!!

This picture is especially for DeNae-..remind you of another cruise??? David and I had a contest who could eat the most shrimp? He beat me, but I had my fair share, believe me, we didn't go hungry!

We laughed and enjoyed each other company all week! what a fab time!

We were the WILD BUNCH!

This is a hoot!! Proof we made it Cabo Wabo! (Sammy Hagar digs)....look at Kev- it was 115 degrees outside with 75% humidity. SWEATY and it took us an hour to cool down! The rest of the gang was riding the waves on a catamaran around the tip of baja. we opted to see the city sites!

This was such a relaxing, fun week!! We had a blast with my family! Now on to REALITY!!!

AWESOME-SUMMER SO FAR

We had an awesome family/friend trip to Idaho and Utah!


Visiting my dad! It's been 14 years! I miss him every day!

Then had a chance to stay with my step-mom and Joe! Wonderful people!

And we even got to visit with Hannah, Kyle, Angi and little Burke!

and my awesome brother David and his wife Lori

And of course the infamous ****J-DAWG*** if you haven't had one; you just haven't lived!


I'm enjoying every bite of this DAWG!! YUM

Then on to my sister Teresa's house with her cute cute kids!!

We had a blast on our two week trip! not too many other pictures. I'm so bad at remembering to take pictures.

I was able to visit with my sister Rebecca and what a wonderful visit we had! Maybe I'll remember the camera next time! sorry

BEACH TIME

I know, I know..you've been wondering where we've been hiding..well, I finally have pictures.

No reason to bore you without pictures!!

I FINALLY remembered the camera.**sigh of relief** I can blog once again.

So here we are at the beach : Dallin and McKay; two handsome guys!

It was a great day with lots of sun and lots of digging in the sand (you'd think the 15 year olds were 5 again, but they had a blast).

As soon as the boys headed to the water the fort didn't last long from invaders. Snooze ya lose!

Dallin recieved the JV Hockey "MVP" of the year at the TVHS Hockey Awards Banquet.

We are quite proud of our hockey star.

We've thouroghly enjoyed each and every game: win or lose. It's been a great season. Here's to more great seasons as we watch our budding hockey star take off!

Summer is FINALLY on its way: Two more weeks of school for Dallin. Palomar college is finished and RCC only has Finals week- yea! I'm really looking forward to some sunshine of R& R.

AWESOME- MOTHER'S DAY

I have the BEST daughter. Dani surprised me for Mother's day and showed up on our doorstep on Friday afternoon all the way from Provo, Utah! What an AWESOME daughter.

She brought her two friends from work: Becky and Candie.
We had fun swimming and eating AND going to the "BEACH" (Mission Beach), San Diego. Then: of course to downtown San Diego to "FRED'S Mexican FOOD"

We then took a drive to Hillcrest and all four of us got pedicures and manicures. It was an AWESOME weekend with an AWESOME daughter and friends.

I couldn't have asked for a better MOTHER'S DAY! Thanks Dani. I LOVE YOU!

A Family Weekend

We took a family drive up the mountains to the small town of IDYLLWILD.

We found a "COKE" memorabilia shop. HEAVEN!!!

And then of course had a fine--Photo op!---always one for a picture!

And then to top the day off we stopped for lunch at a quaint Chinese restaurant.

It was a great day to just get away and enjoy time together! (Dallin "ALMOST" smiled)

Spring in So. California

Spring Break came for Dallin and me during the same week which was AWESOME, because the weather was fantastic with sunshine and 80 degrees. We decided to hit the beaches of San Diego: Mission Beach, Pacific Beach and La Jolla.

We brought Andrew with us. He's Dallin's bestfriend and our '3rd' child!

I find solace at the beach listening to the waves crash. It's fun to watch the people all around as they jump in the waves, scream and play.
We parked the bikes at Joe's Crab Shack and grabbed a bite to eat with an ocean front view.

We had an awesome day out in the sun and even got a little burned. It's amazing the muscle's that are used just for riding bikes. I was sure we rode about a million miles that day, but Dallin assured me we didn't. We probably only went about 10 miles in all, but it sure felt like a lot more! I'm just glad that spring is here which mean SUMMER is around the corner and old man winter is on his way out!

Spring seems to bring out the 'new' or 'renewed' life in us! We got a call from Dani this week with news that she's going to finish school by next October and she's preparing herself to serve a mission when she turns 21. (she has a year and a half). I'm proud of her for this decision and I know she can make anything happen she puts her mind too! She is the best daughter anyone could ever ask for! She's amazing and such a bright spot in people's lives!
